"These are the days of miracle and wonder...." I was about to start college, or maybe I first listened to this album on the radio in my first (shared) college apartment. And it was a bit of a revelation, even for a PS fan since childhood. It hinted at a larger world, but with a familiar voice. (I'd hear of the controversies later.) My then future-ex-husband would sing, "Every generation sends a hero out for Pop-Tarts" as a pseudo-mondegreen, and I'd play this album over and over, but did I tape it off the radio or something? All I know is that this CD came much later in my adulthood, when the world looked much less fresh and new.
