I don't know if it's the over-used back-up singers ("woo-oo-hoo!") or the live aspect, but a good cover of an Al Green song is turned into something from a generic '80s movie soundtrack. This album ranges from C+ to B+, pretty evenly distributed, but it averages out as a high B-. Recommended, although I still wouldn't describe myself as a fan.
