1960s Top Forty

First of all, I don't pretend that my musical collection is representative of '60s music or even fully of my taste in '60s music.  This'll just be the Top Forty of the 1960s music I've played these past few months, and I will revise the list if and when I come across more worthy entries.  The ranking is somewhat arbitrary, but here you are:
  1. "The End" by the Beatles, the only A- so far, an easy call
  2. "We Can Work It Out" by the Beatles
  3. "I'm Only Sleeping" by the Beatles
  4. "Baby You're a Rich Man" by the Beatles
  5. "A Simple Desultory Philippic (Or How I Was Robert McNamara'd into Submission)" by Simon & Garfunkel
  6. "So Long, Mom (A Song for World War III)" by Tom Lehrer
  7. "You Never Give Me Your Money" by the Beatles
  8. "She Came in Through the Bathroom Window" by the Beatles
  9. "Get Back" by the Beatles
  10. "The Word" by the Beatles
  11. "Homeward Bound" by Simon & Garfunkel
  12. "Good Morning Good Morning" by the Beatles
  13. "Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da" by the Beatles
  14. "Suite: Judy Blue Eyes" by Crosby, Stills and Nash
  15. "Hand Me Down World" by the Guess Who
  16. "Come Together" by the Beatles
  17. "Hey Jude" by the Beatles
  18. "I'm So Tired" by the Beatles
  19. "Baby You Can Drive My Car" by the Beatles (the top of the B's)
  20. "Lovely Rita" by the Beatles
  21. "Money" by the Beatles
  22. "Help" by the Beatles

  27. "Day Tripper" by the Beatles
  28. "She Loves You" by the Beatles
  29. "I Am the Walrus" by the Beatles
  30. "All You Need Is Love" by the Beatles
  31. "Can't Buy Me Love" by the Beatles
  32. "Don'tcha Hear Me Callin' To Ya" by the Fifth Dimension
  33. "Julia" by the Beatles
  34. "96 Tears" by ? and the Mysterians
  35. "Mrs. Robinson" by Simon & Garfunkel
  36. "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" by the Beatles
  37. "The Ballad of John and Yoko" by the Beatles
  38. "The 59th Street Bridge Song (Feelin' Groovy)" by Simon & Garfunkel
  39. "Penny Lane" by the Beatles
  40. "No Sugar Tonight/New Mother Nature" by the Guess Who
You can see why I didn't do a separate post on the Beatles.  There are other songs and sounds that got a B grade, but I had to narrow it down somehow.

ETA 12/30/20: The Zombies' 1968 "Time of the Season," on a mix-tape, earns a B+, and I'm putting it at Number 15, thus pushing "No Sugar" out of the Top 40.

ETA 12/31/20: The Zombies strike again, on a different mix-tape, with "Come On Time" (1965) a B+ that lands at Number 12.  Sorry, "Penny Lane."
