"Ding Dong! The Witch Is Dead"
The Fifth Estate
Featured on Ding Dong! The Witch Is Dead
Jubilee
Released 1967
Bubblegum rock*
Vinyl (possibly original copy, missing both sleeve and jacket)
C+
I can't tell you much about this band or this album, other than I probably bought it (I believe as a high school junior or senior, so '84-86) because I'm an Oz fan and the title track certainly qualifies as a novelty number. Wikipedia says it hit #11 on the charts, which is pretty impressive considering it's not that memorable after all.
*I was under the impression that "bubblegum rock" didn't officially start until '68, but this fits.
