OK, a bit of housekeeping.  When I get to "greatest hits" and compilations, I'm putting them into the lineup with the latest possible date, either the release of that collection or the latest date for any individual song.  This was sold to me at some point in the '80s for $5.00, with a "1966 MINT" sticker, but this first song is scratched, and I assure you I did not play this album much.  Anyway, "Blowin'" originally came out on August 13, 1963 and arguably was (three and a half years later) already a period piece, but in a good way.
