By the time this album came out, I was no longer puking over my impending divorce.  But listening to melancholy yet sort-of club-music fit my mood.  A break-up song you can dance to?  That works.  I was letting him go, going to miss him, but also maybe looking ahead to a future where I could go dancing in clubs, on my own, with friends, maybe even with dates of either sex.  And, yeah, it works on a cautiously hopeful morning in a long, difficult year.
