I obviously am the type to live in the past, and I remember this song when it was a hit.  I am not, however, the type to go to concerts, since I don't like loudness or crowds.  But when Al Stewart played at a small theater a few blocks from my home around 2006, I went to see him.  I only knew this song and "Year of the Cat" well, but I still had a grand time, listening to his stories and hearing less familiar songs.  Anyway, this Best Of is edited from the 1992 CD, so I'm guessing it came out some time that year, although the latest copyright on the case is 1990.
