And with this song, I unofficially did join their fan club.  (The group is widely known as One of the Great Underrated Rock Bands, check out YouTube comments if you have any doubts.)  This song has some of their big themes: pop culture, religion, and childhood.  (Although if you want to get technical, "green Crayola" is kind of meaningless, unless you mean one of the smaller crayon packs.)  It is cynical and yet not overly judgmental.  And it is what it celebrates and denigrates, both bouncy and rockin'.  I don't know anything about instruments, but this is a good song to air-bass to.
