We start at the end, we end at the beginning.  I do own their previous, and debut, album, Bellybutton, but for reasons I'll get into later, I'm not going to play it yet.  And actually, I think I owned this album (their second and final) first, although I saw some videos of Belly songs before that.  I liked the videos, I loved the albums.  But this opening lullaby is as deceptive as the candy color of the cassette.  There is a sweetness to J'fish but they are also very bitter, so the opening is deliberately ironic.  But just on its own terms, it's a lush, almost a capella serenade, and a B-.
