It's songs like this that make me use the term "adjacently sexy," by which I mean I don't personally find Adam Ant sexy but I can thoroughly understand why other people do. (Elvis Presley is another example.) This song is telling us not to take his matador-like posturing too seriously but also not to ignore it. My favorite aspect is the pauses, like in the middle of "im (pause) proper."
