In 1983, Aja and Gaucho were issued on a "2 Album Special Cassette," with each side a seven-song album.  My fifteen-or-sixteen-year-old future ex-husband presumably picked it up then or later, since he was more of a Steely D fan than I.  And in fact, the title track is so interminable that I'm shocked to find that it's only eight minutes, and it dropped from a C- down to a D (the first on this blog) by the end because I had to lightly flick my own arm to get through the last couple minutes.  Let us hope that Gaucho is more bearable.
