This is another one that has a Beatles feel, especially John Lennon, from the countdown that kicks things off to a certain funkiness (although as much mid-'70s Lennon as mid-'60s), particularly on the keyboards. Joel got divorced in July of '82 and so the bitterness on this album may be higher than average even for him, yet this is a bouncy, almost amiable tale of incompatibility.
