The shock value of hurling ethnic slurs has sort of worn off. (Whatever people tell you about modern political correctness, I think it was easier to be shocked in the '70s.) And I'm not sure why a psychological test is being used for a custodial position. But Pryor and Chase give this their all.
I won't rate the very brief goodbye from Buck Henry, and I've omitted all the Don Pardo stuff. So this album ranges from C- to B, averaging out to a C+. Even in "the golden age" of the early days, this series was always uneven, so this album is actually better than I expected for a Best Of. Especially without the visuals.
