I started wincing a few seconds into this first track on the third solo album by the Spooky Tooth performer. I have no idea why it was in my collection, other than maybe that oh-so-'70s cover. (And I had to listen to the first few seconds of his cover of "We Can Work It Out," out of morbid curiosity, but I didn't have the courage to try his version of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow."
