No, wait, I have an explanation for this.  Sort of.  Mike Curb was by the late '70s a very conservative Californian politician, but in the '60s and early '70s he was a record producer.  So there was a novelty factor, besides the fact that this is literally Muzak versions of Rolling Stones hits.  I don't know how many of these instrumentals I can sit through now (and I doubt I ever played this album more than twice before), but this first track one isn't bad.  Of course, I have a great deal of ambivalence about the Stones, so I might not be the best judge.
