By now, you know that "swing" is Buggsian for "having a depressive episode," and if they're breakin' out the apostrophes, this is gettin' serious. There's a proto-Troggs feel to the claims that the listener and they are a perfect couple, a sarcastic, downbeat '66ish spin that for all I know was the Hackensack Boys cuttin' edge rebellion against the Coronet powers that were. (By this point, it is my headcanon that 16-year-old Jerseyite Michael McKean was secretly a Bugg and has been doing penance for it ever since.)
