First of all, this is the American version, so we start off with this number (rather than the much snazzier "Drive My Car" that the Brits got). And it's pretty much same-old same-old, although we get some of those McCartney bouncy little nonsense syllables that would run amok on his '70s solo albums. There is no indication as yet that this would be the album that would make me fall in love with the Beatles in '84 (in a record-playing room in a Vermont public library, no, this isn't that copy but one I bought for $3.95 months later). Well, maybe it'll turn out that this album has been over-rated in my mind for over 35 years. Let's find out....
